The show “A Magia do Livro” has already been watched by more than one hundred thousand children across the national territory. It tells the fantastic story of Magnus and Carmina, two very powerful sorcerers who created the first book in the world, Primum.

The book was developed to keep all the knowledge and wisdom of the land, so it became a unique and extremely valuable artifact ... Librarianized by the power granted to those who own it, Magnus and Carmina fight a dramatic battle that accidentally destroys the book and hurls fragments all over the world. Sorcerers lose their powers, and with them, their selfish ambitions.

Helpless, Magnus and Carmina join forces, embark on an incredible adventure and discover that there are few people capable of putting this book together again. All of this, to keep literature, imagination and words alive forever.

For the production of this piece, Foco 3 Produções developed a specific study on mythology, literature, folklore, poetry, music and dance. The names of the characters and some lines have passages in Latin, paying homage to one of the first existing languages; one of the poems is of cordel poetry; excerpts from music by national authors and composers such as Cazuza, Carmen Miranda, Erasmo Carlos, Tom Jobim, Gonzaguinha and others are cited. Dance choreographies are also used, such as bumba meu boi, frevo and maracatu, which are typical of Brazilian folklore. One of the main events takes place in Rio Grande do Sul, represented by the gaucho with costumes and their connotations, which brings the public even closer to their origins.

The show aims to present different cultures, entertain, and especially, value the book, encouraging its reading.
